Agricultural Wages Board (AWB)
The Agricultural Wages Board for Northern Ireland is a statutory body which determines the minimum gross wages payable to agricultural workers, and sets some conditions for holiday and sick pay entitlement.
Important information about AWB
In March 2007 the Board agreed a new Grading system, with new age bands. Under the new system agricultural workers advancement through the Grades is based on the worker's experience and qualifications.
The Grading system sets out the current Agricultural Minimum Wages rates applicable from 2 April 2007, these rates will continue to apply until they are reviewed by the Agricultural Wages Board in 2008.
The Board also set an additional Accommodation Offset for Temporary and Harvest workers.
