Harvesting Our Timber

At maturity, most of our tree crops are felled and then replanted the following spring. When managed in this way, they can be considered a renewable resource. Timber is biodegradable, produced using low energy inputs and is an effective means of storing carbon. This section looks at how we harvest this crop and some of the uses for the timber we produce.
