Disability

Around one in five people in Northern Ireland have a disability. The nature and extent of their disabilities vary widely, as do their requirements for overcoming the difficulties they may face.

Our Disability Action Plan sets out the actions we are taking to reduce the barriers faced by disabled people when accessing and using our services and the further steps we are taking to actively promote disability equality across all aspects of our functions.

You can view the DARD Disability Action Plan below along with the accompanying Easyread version and the updates on our progress to date. You can also read about the work of our Disability Forum
We hope the information provided here is useful for you. However, for further help please contact us.
