Animal Welfare

The Northern Ireland Codes of Recommendations for the Welfare of Livestock provide advice and guidance for the upkeep of farm animals and details of relevant legislation. In addition to the Codes for pigs, laying hens, sheep, cattle,  meat chickens and breeding chickens available on the web site, other Codes are available on request from animal.welfare@dardni.gov.uk.
