Draft Dogs (Licensing and Identification) Regulations
CONSULTATION ON THE DRAFT DOGS (LICENSING AND IDENTIFICATION) REGULATIONS
Your comments are invited on a consultation document, regarding the draft Dogs (Licensing and Identification) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012. This is a draft Regulation which is being made under powers in the Dogs (Northern Ireland) Order 1983 (“the 1983 Order”). Comments are requested by 7 February 2012. The Regulation will update and replace the Dogs (Licensing and Identification) Regulations (NI) 2011 which were made on 19 July 2011 and came into effect from 3 October 2011. This consultation is only in respect of the additional requirements relating to the technical requirements for microchipping and associated record keeping in the draft Regulations.
This consultation period will last 12 weeks commencing 16 November and ending on 7 February 2012.
