UK Official Feed and Food Controls Plan Consultation

Regulation (EC) 882/2004 (about arrangements for the verification of compliance with animal health and welfare rules ( as well as feed and food law)), requires, among other things, that Member States prepare a single intergrated, multi-annual national control plan (Article 41). The plan is to be implemented by 1st January 2007.
The UK national control plan should contain general information on the structure and organisation of the controls covering feed and food, animal health and animal welfare, as well as the control systems for plant health.  The information in this part of the national control plan complements that on feed and food controls and plant health controls published on the Food Standards Agency’s website earlier this summer. The various parts of the National Control Plan will be integrated to produce the single integrated multi-annual UK National Control Plan required by Regulation (EC) No 882/2004.
