Welfare of Farmed Animals Regulations (NI) 2011

Following the introduction of the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 on 29 March 2011, it is necessary to consolidate and re-make the Welfare of Farmed Animals Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000, as amended, as these Regulations were made under the Welfare of Animals Act 1972 which is in the process of being repealed.

Consultation on the new draft Welfare of Farmed Animals Regulations 2011 closed on 26 September 2011.
