The Zoonoses (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012
The Department is carrying out a consultation on the review of the Zoonoses fees.
Statutory salmonella testing of breeding, laying and broiler flocks is carried out by DARD Veterinary Service to implement EU legislative requirements. A consultation is ongoing on a proposed review of fees charged by the Department.
The Zoonoses (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (NI) 2012 provide a statutory basis for the charging of fees for salmonella testing.
The Zoonoses (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (NI) 2012 will provide the Department with powers to set fees at a level to achieve full cost recovery for breeding, laying, broiler and turkey flocks.
We welcome your views on the proposed legislation.
The consultation will run from 7 October 2011 to 30 December 2011.
