Policy Development Branch
Policy Development Branch is responsible for developing policies in new and evolving areas or where these are currently not well defined. The Branch also reviews existing DARD policies to ensure their continued relevance and appropriateness.

What services does Policy Development Branch provide
During 2008/9 the Branch plans to:
- review support arrangements for Less Favoured Areas ;
- review and make recommendations for the future of the New Entrant Scheme;
- contribute to the development of the NI Enterprise Policy Framework
- initiate the development of an Education Strategy
