Supply Chain Development Branch
Supply Chain Development Branch provides advice and support related to Rural Enterprise and Food Supply Chains.
The Branch aims to improve the capability of agri-food industry stakeholders to develop their Supply Chains. It does this by -
- providing advice on agri-food supply chains
- facilitating better communication and collaboration within supply chains
- co-ordinating relevant training and development
- providing focus and support for group initiatives in line with Branch aims
- maintaining a network of contacts within each agri-food sector
The Branch also aims to increase the uptake of Rural Development Support provided by DARD including support for Farm Diversification. It does this by -
- providing advice on DARD support services and programmes
- facilitating farm diversification by providing business advice and mentoring
