Beef Price Reporting

The purpose of European Community (EC) Deadweight Cattle Price reporting is to provide the Commission with prices, which are representative of the national beef production figures.  These prices are used by the European Commission to calculate if there is a need for market support.  It is also a useful source of statistical data in determining the state of  National Farm incomes. Quality Assurance Branch (QAB) undertakes this work.
