Seeds and Seed Certification

DARD is responsible for the regulation of the seed trade in Northern Ireland, for the local implementation of EU Directives governing the marketing of small seeds, and for the enforcement of seeds legislation.

DARD's seed certification system governs the marketing of locally-grown as well as imported seed.
