The Single Farm Payment Scheme (SFPS), introduced by EC Council Regulation 1782/2003, replaced most of the crop and livestock payments from 1 January 2005. The new scheme breaks the link between production and support. Instead, farmers will have to observe certain conditions (known as Cross Compliance) in return for receipt of direct agricultural support. Scheme Managers are responsible for the day to day operation of the Scheme and they can help you with any queries you may have regarding the processing of payment of your application/claim.
