Funding for Information measures relating to the common agricultural policy
Interested organisations are asked to note the call for grants which can be used by 'legal entities' in member states to explain and implement the CAP
An information measure is a self-contained and coherent information event organised on the basis of a single budget. The activities included in such an event range from a simple conference to a comprehensive information campaign covering several types of information activities (such as conferences, audiovisual productions, mobile workshops,…) carried out in one or various regions or even Member States. In the case of such campaigns, the different activities foreseen shall be interconnected, clear in their conceptual approach and the results to be achieved and the work schedule shall be appropriate with regard to the project goals and realistic.
The European Commission co-finances information measures relating to the common agricultural policy that aim, in particular, at:
- explaining, contributing to, implementing and developing the policy,
- promoting the European model of agriculture and helping people understand it,
- informing farmers and other parties active in rural areas,
- raising public awareness of the issues and objectives of the policy.
A call for proposals is published once a year (before 31 October). The Commission accepts applications only from legal entities that have been established for at least two years in an EU member country.

Requests for grants to implement information measures from 01/03/2012 to 28/02/2013 request may be submitted until 30/09/2011.
