Definitions of Business or Enterprise Type

To be eligible for funding under the Agricultural and Forestry Processing and Marketing Grant Scheme an enterprise must meet the size criteria detailed below for the whole of the enterprise, including subsidaries.

Micro Enterprise
This is an enterprise which has fewer than 10 employees; and has either an annual turnover not exceeding € 2 million or an annual balance sheet not exceeding € 2 million.

Small Enterprise
This is an enterprise which has fewer than 50 employees; and has either an annual turnover not exceeding € 10 million or an annual balance sheet not exceeding € 10 million.

Medium Enterprise
This is an enterprise which has fewer than 250 employees; and has either an annual turnover not exceeding € 50 million or an annual balance sheet not exceeding € 43 million.

Intermediate Enterprise
This is an enterprise which has less than 750 employees; or has an annual turnover of less than € 200 million.
