Higher Education Awards for CAFRE Students
Students enrolling on a full-time or sandwich course of Higher Education at CAFRE may apply for financial support through Student Finance NI.
Student Finance NI is a partnership between the Education and Library Boards (ELBs) and the Student Loans Company (SLC) for delivering financial support to students on behalf of the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) Northern Ireland.
Students should therefore apply to their local Education and Library Board for financial support for the 2011/12 academic year.
The package of support available is dependent on whether the student is a new or current student at CAFRE in the 2011/12 academic year.
You should start thinking about applying for financial help as soon as you have applied for a place on a course. Do not wait until you have a confirmed place on a course before applying - simply quote the course that you think you are most likely to attend. If your course changes after you apply, tell your ELB right away.
Steps on how to Apply
- You can.apply for support online or submit a paper application form, both of which you can access on the Studentfinanceni website (see link below under Further Information)
- Fill in your application form and return it to your local ELB with all the information you are asked to provide.
EU students
Applications for financial support from EU nationals or the child of an EU national enrolling on a full-time or sandwich course of Higher Education at CAFRE will be administered by the Student Loans Company’s EU Customer Services Team in Darlington.
