The Draft Welfare of Animals (Permitted Procedures by Lay Persons) Regulations

Summary:

Since September 2009 the Department had been working on a new Welfare of Animals Bill to replace the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 (“the 1972 Act”), which is considered to be inadequate to deal with the various animal welfare issues today.
