The EC Feed Hygiene Regulation (183/2005) requires businesses that manufacture, market or use animal feeds to be registered with or approved by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) in Northern Ireland. Application is required for approval as a Distributor of final Medicated Feedingstuffs containing Prescription Only (POMs) and NOT manufactured by the applicant; or Intermediary in Zootechnical Additives and Zootechnical Premixtures under the Veterinary Medicine Regulations 2009 and Regulation (EC) 183/2005 laying down requirements for feed hygiene.
