The EC Feed Hygiene Regulation (183/2005) requires businesses that manufacture, market or use animal feeds to be registered with or approved by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) in Northern Ireland. Application is required for approval for the manufacture of products containing Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) or Zootechnical Products (code: MOF1). This application is required under the Veterinary Medicine Regulations 2009, The Feed (Hygiene and Enforcement) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 and Regulation (EC) 183/2005 laying down requirements for feed hygiene.
