Forest Service can provide grant aid and advice to help you create new woodland and manage your existing woodland. Woodland provides habitat for plants and animals, improves the amenity value of your land and can eventually provide wood for processing or other uses such as energy production. The two schemes available are the Woodland Grant Scheme (WGS) and the Farm Woodland Premium Scheme (FWPS). WGS provides financial assistance for the creation of new woodlands and replanting existing woodlands.
