The Innovative and Sustainable Food Packaging Programme, allocated £0.65m over the years 2008/09 – 2010/11, is an education and skills development programme. As identified in the attached plan, it will be delivered in four stages as follows: <BR /> • packaging technology workshops to middle managers in Northern Ireland food and associated businesses; <BR /> • supported implementation of an innovative and/or sustainable packaging project within Northern Ireland food and associated businesses; <BR /> • technical seminar to senior management within Northern Ireland food and associated businesses; and <BR /> • study tour to highlight best practice in the adoption of innovative and/or sustainable packaging.
