Peace II Funding for Farmers - Achievements
The EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland (Peace II) has made available some £21 million of funding targeted at farm families in Northern Ireland. Funding was allocated to farm families through:
- Measure 1.6 Group Facilitation, Focus Farms and Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Measure 1.7a Obtaining Alternative Employment
- Measure 1.9 Investment in Agricultural Holdings
- Measure 5.6b Young Farmers' Cross Border Networking and Diversification Programme
Peace II aimed to encourage greater co-operation and collaboration within the Northern Ireland farming community, providing increased opportunities for networking and reconciliation.
