Measure 1.9 Investment in Agricultural Holdings
Measure 1.9 provided financial support to groups of farmers throughout Northern Ireland to provide or improve on-farm facilities. The main aims of Measure 1.9 were:-
- Minimise the risk of Point Source and Diffuse pollution to waterways
- Improve the quality of farm produce, animal welfare and food safety.
Impact of Measure 1.9
- 126 farmer groups received funding
- 2489 farmers allocated funding
- 74% of participants indicated their farm business benefited from improved environmental facilities
- 85% of participants indicated their farm business benefited from improved facilities to enhance produce quality
