Micro-Business Development - Creating Jobs and Supporting Business in Rural Areas

The Leader+ Programme supports the growth of micro businesses and job creation with a view to contributing to the economic development of rural areas. The Programme is delivered through Local Action Groups located in various local areas around the country.

What is Micro-Business Development

Micro-Business Development, delivered via the Leader+ EU funding programme, is designed to contribute to economic development of rural areas by supporting the growth of micro businesses and job creation.  
Micro-businesses applying for funding that support the following groups are looked upon very favourably:
Your business may be eligible for grants up to 50% of project costs, as well as 100% support for training programmes.

Local Action Groups have been set up to facilitate the delivery of this Programme and you should contact the Group relevant to your local area to obtain further information. Funding may be available under this Programme up to 31 Dec 2006.
