DARD Strategic Plan 2006 - 2011

At the end of March 2006 the Minister published DARD’s first 5-year Strategic Plan covering the period 2006-2011. The Plan, which was the subject of a public consultation, sets out the long-term strategic direction for a period which will be particularly challenging for the agri-food industry and the wider rural community. The Plan will therefore play a key role in steering the policy direction for this Department in the coming years.

The Plan outlines the Department’s Vision, Aim and Role over a 5 year time frame, focuses upon 5 key Goals and derives a series of strategic objectives and key actions which should lead to change and measurable success.
