Horticulture Development Centre

The Horticulture Development Centre exists to support the educational requirements for the various learning and competence development programmes delivered at the Greenmount Campus. It is also a resource to facilitate systems development and demonstration work undertaken by the Horticulture and Crops Development Division.

Systems development work is where new technologies which have the potential to benefit the Northern Ireland commercial horticulture industry are demonstrated or assessed on a semi-commercial scale to help establish the viability of such systems prior to wider adoption by the industry.

The centre comprises of 2 units, namely Nursery Stock Unit, and Protected Crops Unit.
