Introduction to cut flower production

I would like to invite you to the fourth workshop of the short course entitled “Introduction to cut flower production” organised by CAFRE Greenmount Campus.

  • Venue: Classroom 18, Horticulture Development Centre, Greenmount Campus, 45 Tirgracey Road, Antrim, BT41 4 PS
  • Time: 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm
This workshop is entitled: “An Overview of what cut flowers and foliages can be grown in Northern Ireland and how to grow them”. I will be reviewing cut flowers that people are growing successfully in Northern Ireland, providing guidance about growing each of these cut flowers and highlighting potential suppliers of planting material. The flowers I will be covering will include:
Tunnel and glasshouse flowers: Alstroemeria, Antirrhinum, Chrysanthemum, China Aster, Daffodils, Hydrangea, Lilies, Stocks, Daffodils.
Outdoor field grown flowers and foliage: China Aster, Peony Sweet William, Sunflowers, Hypericum, Snowberries.
