The workshop will comprise of a practical demonstration of the most up to date water saving application systems suitable for cut flower production installed at Greenmount Campus by Cathal Ellis, Renewable Energy Technologist. You will learn about overhead and ground level irrigation systems, hand held moisture sensors and automatic control systems using electronic sensors for application of water to maintain targeted crop moisture levels based on crop need. You will learn about electronic soil moisture sensors and evaposensors and the uses and application of both systems on nurseries.
John Walker of Electronic and Technical Services, Birkinhead will provide a demonstration of the use of Evaposensors in cropping and be on hand to discuss the suitability of this system for your individual application. John developed this system of irrigation and has many years of experience in irrigation in Nurseries in GB.
