View your farm from the air at the Winter Fair
By Stephen Trew, Countryside Management Development Branch
Viewing an aerial photograph of a farm gives a bird’s eye view of the fields and features on the ground. If you are coming to the Winter Fair on 9 December 2010 you may find it useful to visit the DARD exhibit on the balcony where you can speak to a DARD inspector in an informal setting and view your farm aerial photograph. This provides a way of checking for features that are not eligible for Single Farm Payment.
Farm maps and aerial photographs may be viewed on screen in a private booth. A DARD inspector will be there to highlight ineligible features such as building sites, slurry tanks or lanes. Any ineligible features identified can be addressed by making sure they are not claimed for in your 2011 Single Application Form.
If you would like to view your farm aerial photograph at the Winter Fair, please bring your farm business identification number or applicant reference number, both of which appear on your farm map.
Please visit the DARD exhibit at the Winter Fair in the King’s Hall, Balmoral to find out more.
