Dairy Business Feedback
The business Challenge for Dairy farmers gave me a much better understanding of the impact of costs on my farm business. I also learned how to develop business plans and carry out partial budgeting and this has been put to practical use in assessing the viability of farm projects.
Our group worked well together and we discussed problems and shared ideas. I also found working with the DARD advisor to be very beneficial. He worked with me on a one to one basis to devise practical solutions to problems. Since being on the Challenge, I have expanded milk production and increased my profits by spreading overhead costs over a greater number of litres.
