Fertility Performance

Fertility performance of the Future herd is benchmarked through Fertility Benchmarking Online, a new benchmarking application launched by CAFRE in August 2006.  Fertility Benchmarking Online has been developed to allow farmers to benchmark their herd fertility performance from year to year and against herds of similar calving pattern.  

An Interim Report is available during the breeding season giving an early indication of herd fertility performance.  A more comprehensive Annual Report is available at the end of the breeding season when pregnancy diagnosis has been conducted.  This report benchmarks overall herd fertility performance and estimates the potential savings that could be achieved through improved herd fertility performance.
