Opportunities within your Business

Will McKee knows a lot about business!  He has vast experience and considerable expertise and is well known and respected in business circles. His introduction to business began a long time ago when he helped his father supplement their family income by rearing pigs in the Moy.  He still cherishes the experience.  The pig business was not an easy option, making money was difficult and it was notorious for its ‘ups and downs’ with more downs than ups.
For Will the pig business is now but a distant memory but it was the start of a journey that has taken him a long way. He has hands-on experience of running international businesses producing medical devices, processing food, engineering, business consulting, giftware and fashion. Some of the companies which have featured strongly in his business career include:
  • Belleek Pottery
  • Moygashel
  • Mivan Group
  • Moypark
  • Northern Bank Limited
  • Paul Costelloe International
  • Shell
  • Leckpatrick
Currently Will is chairman and non executive director of a number of leading international companies.
As keynote speaker at the Farm Diversification Conference at Loughry Campus, CAFRE on Friday 12 March he will share his experiences with conference delegates. The conference which is entitled ‘Opportunities within your Business’ is aimed at farmers and farm family members who have diversified their farm business to supplement their incomes.
John Sands, conference organiser is delighted that someone of Will McKee’s calibre has agreed to address the conference.  John is keen that those involved in farm diversification ventures or indeed those farmers thinking of starting up a new business will attend.
This is an excellent opportunity to network, learn from each other and engage with speakers who are experts in their own subject.
The conference comes at a time when many people are stalling on new investment and wondering what the future holds.  With an excellent line-up of top speakers who have a wealth of experience in business development and knowledge of the key issues in the current economic climate, this is a conference not to be missed.
If you wish to attend the conference or find out more information please contact Christine Dingley on 028 8676 8218 or e-mail christine.dingley@dardni.gov.uk .
