2010 Sheep and Goats Keepers Annual Inventory
This year’s inventory is due for completion and inventory cards have been posted to sheep and goat keepers.
Keepers are reminded that they must complete their card between 1 and 5 December 2010 and return it by 5 January 2011 in the pre-paid envelope provided or if they choose to, they may complete their inventory on-line at www.ruralni.gov.uk. To do this you must:
- login to DARD Online Services
- choose APHIS Online
- select your sheep flock
- click on the Sheep/Goats menu item and select the End of year Inventory option
This applies to all currently registered keepers even if they have no sheep or goats on their holding between 1 and 5 December.
Flock keepers who have not completed their inventory will be sent a reminder along with a replacement card mid January 2011.
Failure to complete their inventory will result in the Flock Keeper Registration being “ARCHIVED” for system security and cross-compliance reasons. Archived keeper registrations will not be able to obtain ear tag purchase authorisations or record movements of sheep to market or slaughter.
It is also important that details of the Annual Inventory returns are recorded in the Flock Register. The information provided to DARD will be used for any on-farm checks such as Cross Compliance and failure to provide this information may result in Single Farm Payment penalties.
