Farmers are reminded that the final acceptance date for 2006 Integrated Area Control System (IACS) / Single Applications is 9 June 2006.
Some 38000 applications were received by 15 May and applications continue to be accepted.
If any farmer has missed the 15 May 2006 deadline, they can still lodge their application up to and including 9 June 2006. EC rules require that a one percent penalty is applied for every working days delay for applications received after 15 May and on or before 9 June 2006. Applications will not be accepted after 9 June 2006.
Amendments can be made before 9 June to valid application forms already submitted. Amendments made on or before 31 May have been made without any reduction to the claim. Amendments made between 1 June and 9 June 2006 will incur the appropriate reduction per day for the affected parcels. General provisions for making amendments to applications after 9 June do not exist.
However it is possible to withdraw all or part of the Single Farm Payment application at any time without penalty providing the farm business has not already been notified of an on-farm inspection or the results of any checks on their application. The withdrawal of parcels following an inspection is also possible provided no irregularities have been found in the parcels to be withdrawn.
It is also possible to correct an irregularity such as an over declaration of land in an application at any time, without penalty provided that it has not already been identified and advised by the Department and provided an inspection has not been notified.
Completed application forms should be returned to Single Farm Payment Section, Orchard House 40 Foyle Street, Londonderry BT48 6AT or to their nearest Local County Agricultural Office. If you wish to make an amendmen withdraw all or part of your application or notify an irregularity in your application, you should advise the Single Farm Payment Section, in writing. If you wish to add additional parcels of land, you are advised to contact either Orchard House. Telephone 028 7131 9900 or your nearest Local Office to obtain additional field data sheet.
