CAFRE IT Courses in Your Area

The College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) are continuing to help farmers and growers improve ICT skills. ICT courses will be offered in venues across Northern Ireland from September 2010 through April 2011. There are four courses to choose from, each being a two hour session each week for a number of weeks. The courses on offer are;
  • Internet and Computers for Business (three weeks),
  • Aphis Online (two weeks),
  • Introduction to Spreadsheets (three weeks) and
  • Advanced Spreadsheets (three weeks).
The courses have been designed for farmers and growers in Northern Ireland and a basic level of IT knowledge is required. Basic IT skills courses can be taken in local Further and Higher Education Colleges or a variety of other local IT centres.
Courses are available in Greenmount, Enniskillen and Loughry Campuses as well as Armagh, Ballymoney, Ballynahinch, Limavady, Newry and Omagh.  
CAFRE is working closely with a new service called logon-ni, established by the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Investment to assist small and medium sized businesses in Northern Ireland to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by ICT and broadband internet.
