Cross Compliance workshop at Limavady
The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, CAFRE, has just completed a round of almost 100 Cross Compliance workshops across N. Ireland and is starting to plan a second series which are due to commence in January 2007.
The workshop has been designed to help farmers understand their responsibilities in relation to the 19 Statutory Management Requirements and the 6 Good Agricultural and Environmental Conditions that make up Cross Compliance.
The aim is to have small groups of participants of approximately 15 to encourage good discussion on these important topics. In addition the workshops are delivered by local farmers who place the various issues in a practical context.

Pictured at the recent workshop on Cross Compliance at Limavady, are local farmers Gloria Gilfillan and Edward Conn with Robert Cochrane the trainer on the right.
Cross Compliance workshops will be held at local venues across Northern Ireland in the new year and if you are interested in attending please call Sonia Nicholl at 028 9442 6864 to book your place.
