Feeding plants

Ornamental crop growers recently attended a workshop, at Greenmount Campus, on liquid feeding of plants. The workshop was delivered by the International Plant Propagators Society (IPPS).

David Kerr, Ornamental Crops Development Adviser, Greenmount Campus, said “growers attending the workshop gained a valuable understanding on the selection of liquid feed and how best to apply it to various crops”.

Growers were also shown how to measure the existing levels of nutrients in compost so that the fertiliser is applied according to crop requirement.
