Cathal Ellis – College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (Greenmount Campus)

With the continuing high level of interest in electricity generation from wind power, the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) will deliver three further training workshops across Northern Ireland for farmers and growers.  The workshop is aimed at those who are considering installing a wind turbine on their property.
The course will deal with a number of issues including:
  • How much power is in the wind?
  • How can I assess the wind resource?
  • Where should I site my wind turbine?
  • Are there grants available?
  • Does it need planning permission?
  • What are the issues of grid connection?
  • Can I sell my ROCs?
  • Where can I get more information
The workshops will take place at 7.30pm in:
Enniskillen on Tuesday 23 November
Magherafelt on Thursday 25 November
